Terms of Service

Effective: May 7, 2026·Last updated: May 7, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of StoreCue (“the App,” “the Service,” “we,” “us,” “our”), a Shopify-embedded application that helps merchants generate brand-safe product FAQs.

By installing or using StoreCue, you (“you,” “the merchant”) agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install the App. For questions, contact support@tradehawkhq.com.

1. The Service

StoreCue reads product information from your Shopify store with your authorization, identifies questions shoppers may ask that your product pages don’t currently answer, drafts brand-safe FAQ answers grounded in your Brand Context, lets you edit and approve those answers, and publishes them via Shopify metafields with a theme app extension that renders them on product pages. The Service may evolve over time.

2. Eligibility

You may use StoreCue only if you have a valid Shopify merchant account, are at least 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), have authority to bind your business to these Terms, and your use complies with applicable laws.

3. Your account and access

Installing StoreCue grants us limited authorization to access your Shopify store data on your behalf for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy. You may revoke this authorization at any time by uninstalling the App. You are responsible for the security of your Shopify account.

4. Your responsibilities

StoreCue generates suggested questions, draft answers, and structured FAQ content. You retain full editorial control and full responsibility for everything published to your storefront.

4.1 You review and approve all content before publication

Every FAQ, every answer, every product claim is a suggestion. Nothing is published until you explicitly approve and publish it. You are responsible for verifying that approved content is accurate, lawful, and appropriate.

4.2 You own your content

All product data, brand context, custom Q&A, and approved answers you create remain your property.

4.3 You are responsible for compliance claims

If your business is in a regulated category (supplements, health, financial services, alcohol, age-restricted goods), you are responsible for ensuring published content complies with all applicable regulations. StoreCue’s phrases-to-avoid feature is a tool, not legal advice.

4.4 You will not misuse the Service

  • No reverse engineering, decompiling, or source-code extraction.
  • No reselling, sublicensing, or commercial redistribution.
  • No publishing illegal, defamatory, hateful, or infringing content.
  • No violating Shopify’s Acceptable Use Policy or App Store Terms.
  • No circumventing usage limits, rate limits, or pricing.
  • No automated bulk extraction or unauthorized vulnerability probing.

5. AI-generated content

StoreCue uses large language models (currently Claude by Anthropic) to draft questions and answers. AI-generated content may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before approving it. Once you approve and publish content, it becomes your statement to your customers, not StoreCue’s.

6. Intellectual property

6.1 Our IP

StoreCue, including the App’s code, design, brand identity, prompts, and underlying technology, is owned by us. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your business.

6.2 Your IP

You own your shop data, product information, brand context, and any content you create. You grant us a non-exclusive license to process your content for the sole purpose of providing the Service.

6.3 Trademarks

“StoreCue,” our logo, and the “Quote Cue” mark are our trademarks. You may not use them without our written permission.

7. Privacy

Your use is governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

8. Fees and payment

StoreCue’s pricing is shown on the Shopify App Store listing and inside the App. Billing is processed by Shopify under Shopify’s billing terms. We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice. Refunds are issued at our discretion in accordance with Shopify’s refund policies. Free tiers may impose usage limits.

9. Suspension and termination

9.1 Termination by you

Uninstall the App from Shopify Admin at any time. We immediately revoke access tokens. 48 hours later Shopify sends us a shop/redact webhook, and within 30 days we permanently delete all data associated with your shop.

9.2 Termination by us

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, your use violates law, Shopify revokes your merchant account, or we discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice).

9.3 Effect of termination

On termination, your right to access the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, AI accuracy, and any guarantee of increased sales or rankings.

11. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total aggregate liability in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) fees you paid us during that period, or (b) USD $100. These limitations apply even if we have been advised of the possibility of damages.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, content you publish, or your violation of third-party rights or applicable laws.

13. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party services (Shopify, Anthropic, Google, our cloud hosting provider). Their availability is outside our control. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to mitigate disruption.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email. Continued use indicates acceptance.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.

16. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement: these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any pricing terms in the App constitute the entire agreement.
  • Severability: unenforceable provisions are severed; the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver: failure to enforce is not a waiver.
  • Assignment: you may not assign without our consent; we may assign to a successor entity.
  • Force majeure: we are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control.
